Product Testing

The Microwave Extraction Technology is currently being demonstrated by a technical team located at a fully-operational pilot plant in Burlington, Ontario. This facility houses three separate testing units:

• “Pilot”-scale extraction unit capable of continuous processing of up to ½ tonne of solid material per hour
  
  
• Smaller, more flexible “bench-scale” unit capable of continuous processing of up to 100 kg of material per hour
  
  
• “Liquefied gas” extraction plant designed to use a range of liquefied gases as the solvent to facilitate solvent-product separation
