Radient is founded.

Radient is founded in Vancouver, B.C. by Dr. Steven Splinter (Radient’s current CTO) and Vizon SciTec Inc. (“Vizon”), formerly BC Research Inc., in order to pursue commercial applications of the patented MAP™ natural product extraction technology.

Radient acquires the rights to the MAPTM License.

Radient enters into agreement with Vizon to acquire the rights to the MAP™ license Vizon previously had with Environment Canada, and begins operations in laboratory and pilot plant facilities located within an Environment Canada facility in Burlington, Ontario.

Radient signs its first supply agreement.

After raising venture capital financing, Radient signs its first supply agreement with a US-based biopharmaceutical company to supply purified pharmaceutical raw ingredients extracted and isolated from a natural plant source using MAP™ technology.

Radient acquires facilities in Ontario.

Radient acquires its own leased laboratory and pilot plant facilities in North York, Ontario and Whitby, Ontario. During this period Radient continues to successfully commercialize its MAP™ technology platform and demonstrate its capabilities.

Radient starts to grow and exceed capacity.

As Radient continues to grow its revenues and pipeline of customers, demand begins to exceed the capacity of its Whitby pilot plant.

Construction begins on a brand new facility.

Radient headquarters is relocated to Edmonton, where construction begins on its brand new, 20,000 sq. ft. Manufacturing Facility capable of processing 5 metric tons of biomass per day.

Radient goes public.

Radient goes public on the TSX Venture Exchange, trading under the symbol “RTI”.

Radient signs MOU with Aurora Cannabis Inc.

Radient signs MOU with Aurora Cannabis Inc. to evaluate an exclusive partnership for the joint development and commercialization of superior and standardized cannabinoid extracts.

Radient goes through massive growth.

  • Radient and Aurora Cannabis Inc. announce positive results from their research Joint Venture, confirming the effectiveness of Radient’s MAP™ technology in the extraction of cannabinoids from cannabis biomass.
  • After completing a four-year research project with a leading tobacco manufacturer, Radient announces the proven applications of MAP™ in the industrial-scale extraction of nicotine from tobacco biomass.
  • Radient announces the launch of its RTI Global Health & Wellness Solutions business unit, to address the challenges faced by brands in developing high-quality, naturally derived products.
  • Aurora Cannabis and Radient sign Master Services Agreement, in which Radient agrees to use its MAP™ platform in relation to the development, commercialization and supply of standardized cannabis extracts.
  • Aurora increases its Ownership Interest in Radient, bringing its total investment in the Company to $12 million, for a 17% stake.
  • Radient is named to the TSX Venture 50 2018, a list of the 50 top performing companies on the Venture Exchange.
  • Completes brand new expansion of its Manufacturing Facility in Edmonton, increasing its total size to 23,000 sq. ft.
  • Radient receives its Dealer’s Licence for cannabis from Health Canada’s Office of Controlled Drugs and Substances for its R&D Lab and Manufacturing Facilities in Edmonton.
  • Radient files a total of 43 provisional patent applications with the US Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) for methods related to cannabis extraction, efficient supply chain managaement, and reducing nicotine levels in tobacco. Radient also makes a submission to the FDA to consider the Company’s proprietary MAP™ technology as a method to reduce nicotine levels in tobacco, as an in-line part of the cigarette manufacturing process.
  • The Company announces Joint Venture (JV) Agreement to create Natac Solutions, a global entity based in Madrid, Spain in partnership with Grupo Natac.
  • The Company announces it will build additional cannabis and hemp manufacturing facilities in Edmonton, as well as a brand new cannabis and hemp manufacturing facility in Germany, expected to be complete in 2020.

  • Radient receives its Standard Processing License from Health Canada, allowing the Company to begin legally extracting cannabinoids for Canadian federally Licensed Producers (LPs) at its Edmonton Manufacturing facilities. 
  • The Company files 17 additonal provisional patent applications with the US Patent and Trademark Office (the "USPTO") for inventions related to novel and improved methods and systems of consuming cannabis extracts and cannabis-infused products, in particular for medicinal cannabis consumers. This brings the total number of patent applications filed with the USPTO in 2018 & 2019 to 60.
